The Tesla Light Show
The Light Show makes your Tesla flash its lights, move its mirrors and windows and, on some models, open doors and the boot in time to music.
Starting a show
- Park somewhere safe, with space around the car and nobody standing close.
- Open Toybox and tap Light Show.
- Choose to start now or set a delay so you can get out and watch.
- Close the doors and stand back.
The car will not run a show while driving, and stops if anyone touches it.
Syncing several cars
To run the same show on several Teslas at once, set the same scheduled start time on each car. Owners' clubs do this at meet-ups for a synchronised display. Make sure every car is on a software version with the same show.
Custom shows
You can load community-made shows from a USB drive formatted as Tesla instructs, with the files in a folder named LightShow. Tesla publishes the tools and format for creating them.
Be considerate
Bright flashing lights and loud music can annoy neighbours and dazzle drivers. Run shows in car parks or private land, not on the road.
