Using your Tesla

Theatre and Arcade while charging

Checked 2 October 2026.

A Supercharger stop of 20 to 30 minutes is a good time for an episode or a game. Teslas have Theatre (streaming apps) and Arcade (games) built in, available when parked.

What you need

  • Streaming: a data connection. Premium Connectivity (a paid subscription) streams over the car's mobile connection. Without it, connect the car to Wi-Fi, such as a phone hotspot or the services' Wi-Fi.
  • Gaming: Arcade games work offline. Some can be played with a USB or Bluetooth game controller.

Does it use much battery?

Very little compared with driving. The screen and sound system use a small amount of power; running the heating or air conditioning uses more. While plugged in, the charger supplies the energy, though a small share of the charging power goes to running the car.

The catch

Charging is often quicker than an episode. Watch the charging screen or app and move on when you have enough, especially at busy sites. See Supercharger etiquette.
