Dog Mode
Dog Mode keeps the cabin at the temperature you set while your pet waits in the parked car, and shows a large message on the screen telling passers-by that the climate is on and the owner will be back soon.
How to use it
- Park and choose Dog Mode from the climate controls on the touchscreen or in the app.
- Set the temperature.
- Lock the car as normal. The app shows the cabin temperature and alerts you if it changes or the battery gets low.
Limits to know
- It needs enough battery. Leave with a healthy charge.
- It depends on the car's climate system working. A fault, a flat battery or a software problem could stop it.
- Passers-by may not understand the message, and may call for help or break in to rescue a dog they think is in danger.
UK advice
The RSPCA's advice is not to leave dogs alone in cars on warm days. Dog Mode reduces the risk but doesn't remove it. Use it for short stops, check the app often, and never leave a pet in the car for long in hot weather.
