Finding and fixing rattles and creaks
Electric cars are quiet, so small noises stand out. Tracking down a rattle takes patience, but many are easy to fix.
Find it first
- Empty the car. Many rattles are things in the door pockets, glovebox, sunglasses holder or under the boot floor.
- Drive a bumpy road with a passenger listening in different seats.
- Record a video with sound for service if you can't fix it.

| Roof glass | Seal or bracket creak | Service visit |
| Front suspension clunk | Suspension parts | Service visit |
DIY with care
Felt tape and foam tape can silence trim contact points, but don't pull panels off yourself if the car is under warranty. Book noises through the Tesla app with your video; Mobile Service can fix many at home.
