Tesla service and Mobile Service
Teslas don't have a traditional annual service. You book work when you need it, through the Tesla app.
Maintenance
Tesla publishes a maintenance schedule in each owner's manual. Typical items include:
- Cabin air filter replacement every couple of years.
- Brake fluid health checks.
- Tyre rotation and alignment checks.
- Air conditioning service items at longer intervals.
There are no oil changes, spark plugs or timing belts. In the UK, every car over three years old needs an annual MOT test, which any MOT station can do.
Booking service
Open the app, tap Service and describe the issue. Add photos and videos. Tesla decides whether it can be done by Mobile Service or needs a service centre visit.
Mobile Service
Tesla technicians come to your home or workplace in a van. They can fix many things: 12V batteries, door handles, trim, windows, cabin filters, some sensors and tyres. It's often the quickest route.

Independent specialists
Independent garages that specialise in electric cars can do tyres, brakes, MOTs and many repairs, often outside warranty.
